An aromatic Cabernet Sauvignon from the rich, textured soils of Las Piedras Vineyard, this wine presents a vibrant bouquet with red fruits and herbs, accented by minerality. The vineyard is situated at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains and provides a lot of drainage and high stress for the vines, challenging them for vigor and producing fruit of incredible concentration and vibrancy. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is elegant and structured with a lengthy finish and excellent aging potential.
Vineyard
Named for the rocks and pebbles that lie within the rich alluvial soil, the Las Piedras Vineyard shares a history with our Estate vineyard as they were both part of the Rancho Carne Humana land grant. The vineyard is situated at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains and provides a lot of drainage and high stress for the vines, challenging them for vigor and producing fruit of incredible concentration and vibrancy.

“The 2022 Lithology Beckstoffer Las Piedras Cabernet Sauvignon comes from vineyard blocks A and C. It is a stunning wine that begins with ripe blackberries and succulent black cherries, beautifully complemented by notes of tobacco and a medley of savory herbs and exotic spices, with undertones of graphite, pencil shavings, and dust add a fascinating minerality, reminiscent of the vineyard's unique terroir. On the palate, this full-bodied wine is polished and dense, exuding a ripe sweetness that harmonizes seamlessly with its concentrated flavors.
