Tasting Notes

A Zinfandel with complex layers, the 2015 Special Reserve Grandpère Zinfandel is an elegant wine with well rounded youthful tannins and the weight and structure that our Estate vineyard has become known for. Notes of ripe black cherry and dusty cocoa are framed by hints of toasted French oak, warm baking spices and well-balanced acidity that linger well into the finish. Another very cellar worthy candidate in our portfolio, ready to drink now, it will also age gracefully for the next 10 years.
